Care Certificate Standards
The Care Certificate is an agreed set of standards aimed at equipping healthcare assistants and social care support workers and nursing associates who are new to care with the knowledge and skills which they need to provide safe and compassionate care. It is made up of 15 minimum standards that define the knowledge, skills and behaviours expected of specific job roles in the health and social care sectors. The Care Quality Commission will expect that appropriate staff who are new to services which they regulate will achieve the competences required by the Care Certificate as part of their induction.
